Born from a European tender requesting a 9mm carbine with the same handling characteristics and ergonomics as the AR platform; the all-new SPC9 incorporates many of the features found on the B&T APC9, MP5 and AR platforms combined into one, very versatile platform. Lightweight and reliable, well balanced and accurate, safe and modular – the SPC9 checks all the boxes and is one of the lightest recoiling 9mm carbines available, thanks to B&T's innovative and effective hydraulic buffer system.

B&T breaks new ground with the SPC9 series of Personal Defense Weapons! This hybrid AR-platform incorporates a variety of different features found on many weapons from around the world, earning nicknames such as the "Frankengun". One of its more notable features is the B&T designed hydraulic buffer system, which greatly mitigates recoil and enhances overall accuracy. Another prominent aspect of the SPC9 is the lower receiver which takes much of its design from the B&T APC9 series. This lower accepts the reliable B&T polymer magazines, but versions that accept Glock and Sig 320 magazines are available as well. In addition, the SPC9 features two different charging handle systems: a classic AR-type charging handle and a non-reciprocating, foldable charging handle mounted above the barrel. Both of these systems are fully ambidextrous and allows the operator to use whichever system they prefer.
